Lids 4 Kids

Lids 4 Kids

Lids4Kids will be at the Sustainable Living Expo at Stow Gardens on Sat 20th, in conjunction with Mike and Christine Barker from Geraldton and MidWest eWaste. We will be promoting sustainability in the use of plastic products, and encouraging behavioural change and waste behaviours in plastic use.
In conjunction with Mike and Christine we are planning e-waste and plastics hands-on activities for everyone, especially kids and the young of heart, and an opportunity to learn about the different types of plastics and how we can recycle and repurpose this so-called waste (lids) into very useful new products.
With Mike and Christine, we are also working on a revised submission for a WasteSorted Community Education Grant, centering on school and community group workshops aligned with the principles of various components of the DoE STEAM curriculum.
It is planned to run these in interested participating schools, at no cost, and to also invite similar groups to the e-Waste facilities at 12 Stow St Webberton for on-site workshops. We will have further information on this at the Expo.
You're invited to also bring along your collection of type 2 and 4 plastic milk, water, juice and soft drink lids for collection and for fun sorting activities. See you all there.
